Our team has been inundated for requests about our plans for supporting SharePoint 2013. Unfortunately, the company has very strict rules about what can and cannot be said about future releases. To date, this has meant that we have been able to say very little.
Some customers and partners have understandably mis-interpreted this as something more sinister and that it is an indication that the HP TRIM Integration for SharePoint will not be supported with 2013.
This is not the case! The roadmap absolutely includes support for SharePoint 2013
SharePoint 2013 offers a number of new capabilities and architectural approaches. The team have been taking the time to ensure that what is built, is the best solution for this new platform.
Right now, we are not permitted to offer up a timeframe for when the support will be available. All that can be said is that it is on the roadmap. I expect to be able to be more specific about availability dates soon.
For partners under NDA, you may be able to get more specifics by contacting HP directly. We recognise that the adoption of 2013 has been fast and high and that this lack of information about HP TRIM support puts partners and customers in a difficult and uncertain position. This is not a situation that we wanted to create. Please understand that we are working on releasing a statement around this as quickly as we can.
