7.3.2 released including new security capabilities

We have been quiet on this blog for the last few months sorry. That’s because we have been hard at work getting version 7.3.2 out the door.

Version 7.3.2 is one of the best releases to date. It supports version 7.2.1, 7.2.1, 7.3.0, 7.3.1 and 7.3.2 of HP TRIM. Therefore, to upgrade to this version does not require you necessarily to update HP TRIM itself.

This version has the following included:

The new HP TRIM Security feature allows control of access to content by applying HP TRIM Security levels, security caveats and access controls to content in SharePoint.

A separate blog post about this feature will be coming soon.

Support for Office 2013
Using Office 2013 is now fully supported with the HP TRIM Integration for SharePoint.

Exposure improvements
Exposure is now performed asynchronously. When saving the exposure settings, a job is created and the relevant records exposed when the job is processed. This improves the user experience (as they don’t have to wait for exposure to complete) and improves exposure performance as the efficiencies of the job processing engine can be leveraged.

If a record is found that has an issue (eg data corruption) during the exposure process, exposure will continue rather than stopping at that record.

A number of stability and performance enhancements to improve the handling of larger exposure jobs.

Lifetime management improvements
The immediate management LMP is no longer workflow based. This resolves a number of challenges including now providing you the ability to enter all metadata and choose the correct content type before the item is managed.
